FUTO Releases Post-UTME/DE form for 2021/2022 ACADEMIC Session

 Candidates who chose Federal University of Technology, Owerri as First Choice University in the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) are hereby invited to apply for an aptitude test, provided such candidates scored a minimum of 150 in their UTME. Those who did not choose FUTO as First Choice University but scored a minimum of 150 in their UTME can also apply.

JAMB: Only 100% Fit CBT Centres Will Be Used For 2022 UTME

  The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has said only Computer-Based Centres that are 100 per cent prepared will be used for its 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The board announced this in its Weekly Bulletin of the Office of the Registrar, made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on 13th December 2021 in Abuja JAMB said as part of its preparations for the 2022 UTME, it had concluded arrangements to validate and accredit CBT centres to be used for the exercise. It explained that the development followed the outcome of its virtual meetings with its Chief Technical Advisers, Zonal Directors, State Coordinators and Technical Officers for the accreditation of the board’s examination centres. ASUU Strike: UNICAL Orders Students Out Of Hostels

  The management of the University of Calabar (UNICAL) has ordered students of the institution out of their hostels with immediate effect due to the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU). A statement released on Tuesday by the Registrar Gabriel Egbe said following the industrial action embarked upon by ASUU, the school can no longer provide essential services in the hostels. “The strike has adversely affected the provision of essential services in the halls of residence and on the campus, generally making it difficult to meet up with the management of these essential services. “Consequently, the acting Chief Security Officer of the institution has been advised to lock up all the hostels as well as deploy security men to man all the halls of residence. “Management wishes all students journey mercies, as they travel to meet their parents/guardians,” the statement said.
