 The National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) 21st Matriculation Ceremony Date for 2020/2021 Fresher Students.



The management of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has fixed Saturday, 22nd October 2021 as the date for the 21st matriculation ceremony for its 2020/2021 new students.

The time for the ceremony is 11:00am prompt.

The venue for the event is at all Study Centres nationwide.

To this end, the date for the closure of course and examination registration is Thursday, 14th October, 2021 at 11:59pm

NOUN Orientation Schedule

NOUN Orientation Programme for newly admitted Students has been scheduled to hold as follows:

Date: Friday, October 21, 2021.
Time: 10:00am
Venue: Auditorium of the NOUN Study Centers, Nationwide

Court recommends out-of-court settlement for FG and ASUU

  A Court of Appeal in Abuja has recommended an out-of-court settlement to the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and the Federal Government, following ASUU’s 14 grounds appeal. Recall that ASUU had filed a 14-grounds appeal over the court order issued by a national industrial court in Abuja asking the union to call off its ongoing strike. Justice Georgewill Biobele Abraham who presided over the case, asked the counsel to the Federal Government, James Igwe (SAN) and that of ASUU, Femi Falana (SAN), to first sit down as lawyers, take a patriotic position and convey the position to their clients. He said: “There is time for everything, time for war, and time for peace. As Ministers in the temple of justice, we want to see the two of you as senior lawyers encourage and explore amicable settlement of this dispute. “In fact, we expect to return to this court on Thursday with the good news that the dispute has been thrashed out and all the appreciation of Nigerians will go to you. “
