Maritime Academy Post UTME Form for 2021/2022 [UPDATED]


Maritime Academy of Nigeria (MAN) Oron Post UTME Screening Form for 2021/2022 Academic Session is still on sale. Cut-off mark: 160 & 175 depending on the course. Form cost N2,000. See their O’level requirement, JAMB subject combination and other vital information below.

This is to inform the general public especially prospective students of Maritime Academy of Nigeria (MAN), Oron that the school authorities have released the post utme (ND Full-time) form for 2021/2022 academic session.

The registration portal will be open from September 20th and ends 29th November 2021.

LATEST UPDATE: The deadline for registration has been extended till 29th November 2021. Interested candidates are hereby advised to register before the final Closure Of the portal.

Interested candidates are advised to update their OLEVEL results on the Application Portal and JAMB CAPS respectively.

Any candidate who failed to upload his/her O LEVEL results on both JAMB CAPS and the Portal on or before 29th Nov. 2021 will not be considered for admission.

MAN Post UTME Eligibility.

All candidates who sat for the 2021 UTME are eligible to apply. However, candidates must reach the cut-off mark of the course they are going for:

  • Nautical Science: 175
  • MARINE ENGINEERING: 175
  • ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING: 175
  • MARITIME TRANSPORT AND BUSINESS STUDIES: 160

Applicants are required to also posse the following:

  1. A minimum of five (5) credit passes in Senior School Certificate Examination or its equivalent obtained in not more than two sittings within the LAST FIVE YEARS in relevant subjects.
  2. Applicant MUST have the correct JAMB subject combinations for each course of Interest.

MAN Undergraduate Requirements.

Senior School Certificate Examination or its equivalent and JAMB Subject Combination.

  1. Nautical Science:          
    O’level Requirement: Five (5) credit passes at Senior School Certificate Examination or its equivalent in the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Geography, Physics and any other relevant Science subjects obtained at NOT MORE THAN TWO SITTINGS.
    UTME Subject Combination: English Language, Mathematics, Geography and Physics.
  2. Marine Engineering
    O’level Requirement: Five (5) credit passes at Senior School Certificate Examination or its equivalent in the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry any other relevant Science subjects
    UTME Subject Combination: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics  
  3. Electrical/Electronic Engineering   
    O’level Requirement: Five (5) credit passes at Senior School Certificate Examination or its equivalent in the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry any other relevant Science subjects
    UTME Subject Combination: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics.
  4. Maritime Transport and Business Studies
    O’level Requirement: Five (5) credit passes at Senior School Certificate Examination or its equivalent in the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Economics/Commerce and any two relevant subjects from Government, Principles of Account.
    UTME Subject Combination: English Language, Mathematics, Economics, Commerce/Government/ Principles of Account  

Physical and Medical Fitness:

  • Due to the peculiar requirements of the Institution and the maritime industry as well as international convention (STCW) 95 as amended in 2010 which mandates all sea men to be physically and mentally fit to work in the maritime industry, all applicants are expected to be physically and mentally fit to be able to withstand the rigours/challenges of the cadetship training

Marital Status:

  • Applicants must be single and shall remain single throughout the duration of the programme.

Age Limit for Each Programme

  • Candidates applying for Nautical Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering and Marine Engineering must be between the ages of 16 and 21 as at 30th November 2021. 
  • Candidates applying for Maritime Transport and Business Studies must be between the ages of 16 and 25 as at as at 30th November 2021.

How to Apply for MAN Post UTME.

Applicants are to follow the steps below for a successful registration.

Application Fee:N 2,000.00
Medical Fee: N0.00K
Bank charges: N300.00
Total: N2,300.00

Step 1: Make payment

  1. Click Make Payment
    1. Select the required Mode of Payment
      1. Online Debit Card Payment
      2. Bank Counter Payment
      3. Proceed to payment
    2. Bank Counter Payment
      1. Print the Payment Slip or use the Transaction ID to pay at the bank(using Etranzact Platform). Note confirm that your information is correct at the bank before payment. A confirmation Order will be given to your after payment.
      2. Select Verify Bank Payment, enter the Confirmation Order, if successful proceed to Print Online Receipt
    3. Online Debit Card Payment (Etranzact Platform)
      1. Click Pay, select the Bank and proceed
      2. If successful proceed to Print Online Receipt
    4. Change Payment Mode
      1. Click Make Payment, Select Payment Type
      2. Change Mode of Payment and repeat Step a.

Profile – Personal Details- Displays the Summary of your Profile

Step 2: Update Personal Details (Profile – Update Profile).

Complete the Field with all Information Requested. Note: All fields with * are compulsory and must be completed. Failure to provide all necessary information may result in automatic disqualification.

Step 3: Educational Details (Academic BG)

  1. Upload Primary and Secondary School Educational Details

* Complete the Field with all Information Requested. Note: All fields with * are compulsory and must be completed. Failure to provide all necessary information may result in automatic disqualification.

Step 4: O level Result

  1. Select the Number of Sitting(To update Olevel you must Select Number of Sitting)
    1. Complete the Field with all Information Requested
    2. Submit Form

Step 5: Referees

  1. Upload 2 Referees Details

* Complete the Field with all Information Requested. Note: All fields with * are compulsory and must be completed. Failure to provide all necessary information may result in automatic disqualification.

Step 6: Medical Test

Candidate must undergo some medical test at any Government Hospital and upload their medical status on the application portal. The list of medical tests can be found on the application portal dashboard.

Step 7: Medical Examination Form (Form M*)

  1. Download the Medical Examination Form (Form M) and Provide the Information Required

* Complete the Field with all Information Requested. Note: All fields with * are compulsory and must be completed. Failure to provide all necessary information may result in automatic disqualification.

Step 8: Documents Upload

  1. Scan and Upload all documents requested.

* Note: Each Document must be in a single PDF format (Eg documents with more than one pages must be converted to a single pdf file.

Step 9: Application Preview

This display the summary of your application. Make sure your information are correct. Note Picture uploaded can not be changed,

Step 10: Print

  1. Print the Application Slip
  2. Print Payment Receipt
  3. Print Invitation letter (Available after Initial Screening, Successful Candidate name will be Published)
  4. Print Undertaking Letter (Successful Candidate only)
