JUPEB Releases 2021 Nationwide Results

HolaDav exclusively gathered in the released statement the JUPEB management that the results have been made available to the Vice-Chancellor and Director of each Centre. It was also gathered that the results of 32 Universities were withheld. Find the copy of the statement below:

Dear Programme Directors,

  1. The Governing Board at its emergency meeting of January 25, 2022, approved that, the 2021 results be released after receiving the go ahead from the Federal Ministry of Education (FME)
  2. the Governing Board also directed that the results of 32 universities should not be released as contained in the report from the FME.
  3. the results of the cleared universities have been sent to the respective Vice-Chancellors. Do liase with your Vice-Chancellor to ascertained that your results have been received.
  4. The Programme Directors of the 32 universities whose results are yet to be released will be sent a private message.
  5. Following the release of results, the deadline for the Registration of Candidates as approved by the Board is now February 3, 2022.
  6. Universities are advised to register all their candidates before the deadline.
  7. Universities would be given a deadline for the completion of the Biometric Verification of their student.

Court recommends out-of-court settlement for FG and ASUU

  A Court of Appeal in Abuja has recommended an out-of-court settlement to the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and the Federal Government, following ASUU’s 14 grounds appeal. Recall that ASUU had filed a 14-grounds appeal over the court order issued by a national industrial court in Abuja asking the union to call off its ongoing strike. Justice Georgewill Biobele Abraham who presided over the case, asked the counsel to the Federal Government, James Igwe (SAN) and that of ASUU, Femi Falana (SAN), to first sit down as lawyers, take a patriotic position and convey the position to their clients. He said: “There is time for everything, time for war, and time for peace. As Ministers in the temple of justice, we want to see the two of you as senior lawyers encourage and explore amicable settlement of this dispute. “In fact, we expect to return to this court on Thursday with the good news that the dispute has been thrashed out and all the appreciation of Nigerians will go to you. “
