LASU Registration Deadline for 2020/2021 [2nd Semester]

 Lagos State University (LASU) has Fixed the date for the Closure of the Course Registration Portal for 2020/2021 Session. This is for second semester



The entire full-time undergraduate students populace of Lagos State University should recall that the University Management, in her usual magnanimity, has APPROVED the extension of the online courses registration period by TWO WEEKS.

That is, the registration portal that ought to have closed on Wednesday 9th March, 2022  was shifted to the midnight of Wednesday 30th March, 2022.

The emphasis here is that there will be no room for further extension of registration portal beyond the midnight of Wednesday 30th March, 2022. This will allow for proper preparations for the forthcoming second semester examinations.

The DICT, therefore, enjoins the students’ populace to make use of this great opportunity to complete their outstanding payments and online courses registration before the deadline.

Court recommends out-of-court settlement for FG and ASUU

  A Court of Appeal in Abuja has recommended an out-of-court settlement to the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and the Federal Government, following ASUU’s 14 grounds appeal. Recall that ASUU had filed a 14-grounds appeal over the court order issued by a national industrial court in Abuja asking the union to call off its ongoing strike. Justice Georgewill Biobele Abraham who presided over the case, asked the counsel to the Federal Government, James Igwe (SAN) and that of ASUU, Femi Falana (SAN), to first sit down as lawyers, take a patriotic position and convey the position to their clients. He said: “There is time for everything, time for war, and time for peace. As Ministers in the temple of justice, we want to see the two of you as senior lawyers encourage and explore amicable settlement of this dispute. “In fact, we expect to return to this court on Thursday with the good news that the dispute has been thrashed out and all the appreciation of Nigerians will go to you. “
