Fed Poly Nekede Supplementary Admission Form for the 2021/2022 Session is still on sale. The deadline to apply is now 30th April 2022. This is for both ND and HND programmes.

 


This is to inform all prospective students of Federal Polytechnic Nekede that the school management has commenced the registration into her new programmes for the 2021/2022 academic session.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

 The entry requirements for all National Diploma (ND) Programmes are as follows:

  • Candidates who scored 140 and above in 2021 UTME
  • Five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects including English Language and Mathematics obtained at not more than two sittings in WAEC/NECO or NABTEB (O’level Examinations).
  • Possession of Appropriate JAMB subjects Combination for the course applied for.

ANIMAL HEALTH AND PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGY

UTME REQUIREMENTSO/LEVEL REQUIREMENTS
English Language, Biology/Agric.Sci, Chemistry and any other subject from Geography, Economics, Building Engineering Drawing/Engineering Drawing/Technical Drawing, PhysicsCredit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science,  Chemistry and any one of the following : Geography, Economics, Building  Engineering Drawing/Engineering Drawing/Technical Drawing, Physics, Computer Studies/ICT/Data Processing, Civic Education. Animal Husbandry, Statistics, Fishery.

 WELDING/FABRICATION DEPARTMENT


UTME REQUIREMENTSO/LEVEL REQUIREMENTS
English Language, Mathematics, Physics/Technical Drawing and Chemistry.Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other one of the following: Metal Work /General Metal Works, Wood Work, Technical Drawing/Building Engineering Drawing/Engineering Drawing , Basic  Electronics/Electricity, Economics, Statistics, Further Mathematics, Biology/Agric.Science. Computer Studies/ICT/Data Processing.

English Language, any three of Sciences, Social Sciences or Arts subjects.Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, any basic Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and any two other from Computer Science, ICT, Data Processing, Graphics Design, Photography, Technical Drawing, Visual/Fine arts, Music, Picture making, Business Management, Printing Craft Practice, Radio, Television and Electronics Work Practice, Chemistry, Economics, Commerce, Applied Electricity, GSM Phones Maintenance & Repairs. Basic Electronics, Civic Education, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Geography, Government, Literature in English, CRK, any one Language.

  • HND Arts & Design (Ceramics  Option)
  • HND Arts & Design (Sculpture  Option)
  • HND Arts & Design (Textile Option)

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

 The entry requirements for all Higher National Diploma (HND) Programmes are as follows:

  • Candidates are required to possess National Diploma in their chosen programme from any recognized/accredited Polytechnic or Monotechnic.
  • Candidates are also to possess at least five (5) relevant O’level credit passes including English Language and Mathematics at not more than two sittings in WAEC/NECO or NABTEB (O’level Examinations).
  • Candidates are required to have at least one year or two years post-National Diploma Industrial Training Experience.

It is also important to NOTE that candidates with pass level in National Diploma from institutions other than Federal Polytechnic Nekede are not qualified to apply and any false data entry during the on-line registration will lead to disqualification of the candidates at any time such is discovered.

How to Apply for Federal Poly Nekede Supplementary Admission

1. Visit Federal Polytechnic Nekede Owerri website https://fpno.edu.ng

2.  Click on apply for admissions

  • Select your programme type
  • Generate Invoice for application form
  • Pay Invoice at the Bank or online with your ATM/Debit Card

Proceed to any bank of your choice and make a payment of N2,000.00 for ND programmes and 10,000 for HND programmes, using Remita Number (RRR).  You can also choose to make your payment using your VERVE, VISA or MASTER CARD. If you choose the card payment option, you will be asked to fill the card details for the payment to be processed immediately.

  • Proceed to fill the Application form
  • On completing the application form, print your acknowledgment slip.
  • Click to pay for O’level verification.
  • Print O’level Verification Certificate (To verify if the O’level verification is successful or not and to verify if there is any need for correction and re-verification).
  • All application procedures MUST be concluded on or before 12.00 (midnight) of 28th February, 2022.
  • Applicants can start and complete this process from any location in the country.  It is therefore advisable to minimize trips to Owerri for the purpose of completing the form.

NOTE:  Candidates who chose our institution as 2nd or 3rd choice must change to Federal Polytechnic Nekede as their first choice before they will be considered for admission and also note that any wrong information given disqualifies the candidate.

ASUU Strike: UNICAL Orders Students Out Of Hostels

  The management of the University of Calabar (UNICAL) has ordered students of the institution out of their hostels with immediate effect due to the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU). A statement released on Tuesday by the Registrar Gabriel Egbe said following the industrial action embarked upon by ASUU, the school can no longer provide essential services in the hostels. “The strike has adversely affected the provision of essential services in the halls of residence and on the campus, generally making it difficult to meet up with the management of these essential services. “Consequently, the acting Chief Security Officer of the institution has been advised to lock up all the hostels as well as deploy security men to man all the halls of residence. “Management wishes all students journey mercies, as they travel to meet their parents/guardians,” the statement said.
