Appeal Court Orders ASUU Members to Call Off their Strike Immediately

The appeal court has ordered ASUU to call off its ongoing strike. This is after the union filed a 14-grounds appeal after the industrial court ordered the union to call off the strike.

Recall that the Accademic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU ) had filed a 14 grounds appeal after the industrial court ordered it to call off it’s ongoing strike. In recent developments, The Court of Appeal has ordered the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to call off its strike immediately. The court, however, granted the application on the condition that the union obeys the lower court’s ruling and calls off the strike immediately, pending the determination of the substantive suit. The court gave ASUU seven days within which to file the appeal following the obedience to the ruling of the lower court.
