ABSU Admission List 2021/2022 Academic Session is Out

 Abia State University Uturu (ABSU) Admission List for 2021/2022 Session is out.

We are pleased to use this medium to inform the public especially aspirants of ABSU that the management of the Abia State University (ABSU) has released the 2021/2022 academic session primary admission list.


ABSU admission list contains the names of candidates offered provisional admission into the university’s various degree programmes.

How to Check ABSU Admission List.

As of the time of updating this page, the ABSU admission list is could only be accessed through the JAMB CAPS Portal and/or JAMB Admission Portal.

Candidates can check their admission status on JAMB portal via the procedure below:

  1. Go jamb.gov.ng/efacility.
  2. Login to your Jamb profile with your username and password.
  3. Scroll down then locate and click the ‘Check Admission Status‘ tab.
  4. Then click on Admission Status,
  5. You should then click on check admission status or
  6. Click on Access my CAPS.
  7. Select the three-dotted lines at the top right corner of your browser ( i.e. ⋮) and then tick ‘Desktop site‘. (you can click on the image for a better view)
  8. Then click on admission status
  9. You will either see admission in progress check back later, or NOT ADMITTED, or CONGRATULATIONS.
  10. If you see admission in progress, then congrats because you have 99.9% chances of seeing “CONGRATULATIONS…”
  11. If what you saw is Not Admitted, don’t panic yet, the admission is uploaded in batches. Just check back after some days/weeks.
  12. And if you see CONGRATULATIONS… then jump up and dance because you have been offered admission.

To check the admission list on ABSU portal, follow the procedures below.

NB: The admission list is not yet on the ABSU portal

  1. Go to the ABSU Portal via portal.abiastateuniversity.edu.ng
  2. Then enter your your Jamb Registration Number in the space provided
  3. Click on the LOGIN to view your admission status

Successful candidates are therefore requested to log on to the ABSU Portal, www.abiastateuniversity.edu.ng, and print both their JAMB and ABSU offer-of-Admission Letters.

Thereafter, report to the Admissions Office of the University at Uturu, for the collection of Acceptance-of- offer slip, to enable them to pay the necessary fees and obtain further instructions therefrom.

Court recommends out-of-court settlement for FG and ASUU

  A Court of Appeal in Abuja has recommended an out-of-court settlement to the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and the Federal Government, following ASUU’s 14 grounds appeal. Recall that ASUU had filed a 14-grounds appeal over the court order issued by a national industrial court in Abuja asking the union to call off its ongoing strike. Justice Georgewill Biobele Abraham who presided over the case, asked the counsel to the Federal Government, James Igwe (SAN) and that of ASUU, Femi Falana (SAN), to first sit down as lawyers, take a patriotic position and convey the position to their clients. He said: “There is time for everything, time for war, and time for peace. As Ministers in the temple of justice, we want to see the two of you as senior lawyers encourage and explore amicable settlement of this dispute. “In fact, we expect to return to this court on Thursday with the good news that the dispute has been thrashed out and all the appreciation of Nigerians will go to you. “
