2023 JAMB UTME mock exam - All the things candidates should know

 The UTME mock is a pre-examination test organized by JAMB every year for candidates who will be taking the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Candidates are asked to indicate their interest to take part in the mock exam during the UTME registration. This 2023 UTME mock will hold on Thursday, 30th March 2023. 



For the records, the mock exam is not compulsory. The score is not added to the main exam and it is not a requirement to participate in the main exam. 

The main purpose of the mock examination is to enable candidates to assess their level of preparation and acquaint themselves with the computer-based test environment.  The mock examination was introduced in 2017 to give all candidates an opportunity to have a hands-on experience with the system, especially for those not conversant with the use of computers. 

The mock exam is also an avenue for JAMB to test all systems in all centers to ensure they are working efficiently for the main exam. It also prepares the CBT centers and gives them an insight into how they should handle candidates in the main exam.


Candidates, who indicated interest to write the mock, can now print their exam slip for the mock


The mock slip will indicate the venue and time of the exam for eligible candidates. We have now provided the steps candidates are to take to print their Mock slips directly from the JAMB portal. See the steps and details below;

Steps to Check and Reprint JAMB Mock Slip

  1. Visit the checking portal via this link; https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/printmockexaminationslip
  2. Enter your JAMB Reg. No or Email in the space provided, and click "Print Examination Slip".
  3. When the Exam Slip is revealed to you, go ahead and print it.

Court recommends out-of-court settlement for FG and ASUU

  A Court of Appeal in Abuja has recommended an out-of-court settlement to the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and the Federal Government, following ASUU’s 14 grounds appeal. Recall that ASUU had filed a 14-grounds appeal over the court order issued by a national industrial court in Abuja asking the union to call off its ongoing strike. Justice Georgewill Biobele Abraham who presided over the case, asked the counsel to the Federal Government, James Igwe (SAN) and that of ASUU, Femi Falana (SAN), to first sit down as lawyers, take a patriotic position and convey the position to their clients. He said: “There is time for everything, time for war, and time for peace.   By now, candidates eligible for the 2022 mock exam must have known that the exam is set for Saturday, April 9th, 2022.
